Since 2015, the bulk of the Salmon Museum’s fund-raising efforts have been focused on our Chase the Ace lottery, an extremely popular event held every Friday evening all year round in our River Room. Chase not only supplies us with the wherewithal to keep up with our maintenance requirements, it also provides weekly entertainment where people can drop by for an hour or so, have something to eat, trade the latest gossip or play a friendly game of crib until ticket sales end at 8:00 pm and the draw takes place.

The rules are simple and we make getting in on the fun as easy as possible. From October – June (our off-season), tickets are sold at the Museum every Friday from 10 am – 8 pm; however, during the summer months you can buy a ticket at any time during business hours at our Gift Shop. Tickets cost $5 for one; $10 for three; and $20.00 for seven.

On July 28, 2017 with only 8 cards remaining, Bonita “Bonnie” Greydanus of Fredericton, found the Ace of Spades and won $109,629.80. And on May 18, 2018 with only 13 cards left, Sarah O’Donnell of Doaktown won a jackpot totaling $52,774.
