In the heart of the Salmon Museum is our River Room, a meeting space which, down through the years, has been the site of many “milestone events” – baby showers, graduation parties, wedding receptions (and wedding ceremonies), family reunions, and anniversary parties. The setting with windows and an adjoining deck that overlook the Miramichi River is ideal for relaxed social occasions as well as for business meetings and training sessions. The River Room can comfortably accommodate 80 guests (seated at tables) or 100 (chairs only), and is equipped with WiFi, a SmartBoard and a sound system.
We also offer catering services with a well-appointed kitchen and a Red Seal chef. Our menu covers everything from homemade donuts and coffee to a three-course dinner (salmon and fiddleheads are our specialty). You can choose to have your event catered or – for a small fee — you can make use of our kitchen and look after the food preparation yourself. Bar services are available by arrangement with the Museum.
Rental of The River Room (room only with the renter assuming responsibility for set-up, take-down, etc.): ½ day (e.g., Noon – 5:00 pm) – $85.00; full day (e.g., 9 am – 5:00 pm) – $150.00. Rental fees may be waived for large gatherings if the Museum is responsible for catering services.
